IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement)
A quarterly fuel tax reporting system covering all 48 contiguous US states and 10 Canadian provinces.
IFTA requires owner-operators running in multiple jurisdictions to file a quarterly report on fuel purchased and miles driven in each state/province. Net taxes are paid to (or refunded by) your base state. Most accounting tools handle IFTA reporting; Zenan does not — we focus exclusively on per-truck operational P&L. Common bookkeeper packages and trucking-specific accounting software (TruckingOffice, Rigbooks, ATBS) handle IFTA filing.
